Sunshine Hills Parent Participation

Members / Community - Our members operate the school. Through established processes and roles, members contribute to the daily operations of the school. Members also perform Duty Days with their child. On these days, members help the teacher with various preparation and cleanup tasks. More importantly, this is your child's day to show you all that they are learning - they are so excited to have you join them! Explore through their eyes and enjoy this priceless time to play with your child.
Families are connected with other families who share similar interests and values. Don't be surprised if you make friends - often life long!
Government Licensed - We ensure that parents are equipped to have fun with their children in a safe, nurturing environment. Parents work along side the teacher, who is a qualified Early Childhood Educator (ECE). Licensing requirements are achieved through...

• Orientation - The first step is to provide parents with and orientation on the basic requirements. Most of which are set forth by the Community Care Facilities Licensing Branch (Department of Health). See our Welcome Parents.
• Educational Seminars - parents attend free monthly seminars on subjects relating to early childhood education and parenting (age appropriate to preschoolers).

The school is also a Non Profit Organization. Consider sponsoring us during the United Way Campaign!
